Wickyworld – February 2014

John Wickersham spent six days at the Caravan and Camping Show held at the NEC Birmingham in February.

self-build motorhomes

Not everyone can afford to buy an expensive motorhome or campervan.  So there are many people who construct one, convert a van, or upgrade an elderly model instead.  There is even a specialist association which helps people carry out this kind of work.  It’s known as the ‘Self Build Motor Caravanners Club’ (www.sbmcc.co.uk).

Build your own motorcaravan 2Alternatively, Wicky World’s very own John Wickersham has embarked on building his own self-build motorcaravan.  Not once, not twice,  but three times!  For more information on his experiences, detailed guidance and hundreds of step-by-step photographs please refer to his latest manual ‘Build your own Motorcaravan’ (Second edition 2013) produced by Haynes Publishing.  You might also like to view this clip showing John’s DIY coachbuilt model on the Motorhome Channel below.
